DATES AND VENUE:

The Knotty Ladies are returning to the YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly conference center August 24 - 27 for the 10th annual Yarn, Fiber and Art Retreat Weekend.  The Conference Center there is perfect for sharing time knitting, spinning, weaving, felting, crocheting and other art or craft pursuits with like-minded and fully vaccinated friends. It has really nice hotel-style rooms with 2 queen beds each, a large dining room, conference room and classrooms all in one beautiful handicapped accessible building.   The vendors are all local fiber producers or those who make products for our crafty pursuits.

RATES:

Flat rate includes all three meals on Friday and Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday.  Dietary restrictions can be accommodated; just let me know ahead of time so I can pass it on to the facility. Thursday meals are on your own.  There are a lot of great restaurants in the nearby town of Black Mountain, along with the fantastic Black Mountain Yarn Shop. Trust me, you'll want to check them out.

$440 per person, single occupancy
$85 commuter/day-tripper (includes all meals)

ROOMING ARRANGEMENTS:

You have the option of single or double occupancy for the three nights. I'll keep a list of people who would like to share a room and need a buddy.  We are committed to 15 rooms total. 50% of your registration is refundable up to August 7, due to contractual obligations with the venue.

MINI-CLINICs/Classes:

Mini-Clinics and will be throughout the weekend, are between 30 minutes and 3 hours, and will cost $5-$15. The instructors graciously donate their time. At this time we are still fleshing out the schedule, and the registration for mini-clinics will be released in the next few weeks. There will be two sessions of Chair Yoga and 10 seats in an intro to Kantha Quilting class.

vendors:

2023 Vendors are being finalized now. Debbie Martzall from Hearts of the Meadow will be there with roving and likely jams and jellies.

EXTRAS:

We play the "Knotty or Knice" game on Saturday afternoon - you know the one - bring an art or fiber-related gift ($20 range) and spend the next 45 minutes trying to take what you want away from your friends!

We have a Free Swap table set up. You are welcome to bring anything related to art, fiber or crafts that you no longer need or want, so that another artist or crafter can adopt it and use it. Anything left over at the end of the weekend will be donated or discarded.

Door Prizes from our fabulous vendors are always a big hit.

We look forward to seeing you in August!
